Fujifilm MK series lenses are started with Fujinon MK18-55mm T2.9 and MK50-135mm T2.9

Fujifilm has announced the release of the first two models of the new series of interchangeable lenses: Fujinon MK18-55mm T2.9 and MK50-135mm T2.9. MK Series Lenses focused on video. According to the manufacturer, they may interest those who lead a live broadcast, shoots documentaries, including corporate and wedding, as well as a short films.


Model Fujinon MK18-55mm T2.9 refers to the “regular” zoom. It will be available in March at a suggested manufacturer’s retail price of $ 3799.


Fujinon MK50-135mm T2.9 model;s time will come in summer. The said pair covers quite a wide range of focal length – 18-135 mm, often used by videographers. In the  whole range high light transmission is maintained, providing an impressive blurring of the background and the ability to shoot with a limited coverage.

The manufacturer notes that the lenses are quite compact and light: the length of each is 206 mm, the diameter of the front element – 85 mm, and weight – 980g. MK18-55mm model focuses on a distance of 0.85 m, MK 50-135mm – from 1,2. The course of the focus ring is 200°. Both lenses are suitable for cameras with the Sony E mount and APS-C and Super 35mm sensors. Until the end of the year the manufacturer promises to release versions of both lenses Fujifilm X mount cameras.
